Warranty & Return Policy
At Simplifeye Optical, we want your eyewear to look amazing, feel comfortable, and help you see your best — every single day. That’s why we partner with trusted suppliers, take precise measurements, and custom-craft your lenses for your exact prescription and chosen frame. Here’s how we protect your purchase:
Frame Warranty

Frames include a 1- or 2-year warranty (depending on the brand) against manufacturer defects.

This covers materials or workmanship — not wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse.

We handle warranty claims directly so you don’t have to.
Lens Warranty

Premium scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings are covered for 1 or 2 years (depending on supplier) against coating defects.

“Scratch-resistant” means more durable — but not scratch-proof.
60-Day Non-Adapt Guarantee
If you have trouble adjusting to your lenses within 60 days:

We will remake your lenses up to two times in an alternate design or power adjustment at no cost.

If your lens history is unknown (and you choose to proceed without verification), adaptation issues could occur. We’ll still honour the two remakes, but further changes may require additional costs.

Refunds are not available for prescription lenses, but you can apply store credit toward another eyewear option.
Changes After Purchase- Frame Reselection
We want you to feel great about your frame choice — but lenses are made specifically for that exact frame.

Before lenses are ordered: You may change your frame selection. Any price difference will be adjusted, but special order frames are final sale.

After lenses are ordered: We cannot remake lenses for a frame change based on preference or change of heart. New lenses will need to be purchased at full price.
Using Your Own Frame
We’re happy to fit lenses into your existing frame, but there’s a higher risk of breakage with older or fragile frames. If breakage occurs, it isn’t covered under warranty — but we’ll help you find a replacement option (additional costs apply).
Discounted Remake Option
For situations outside of our warranty coverage (such as a frame change after lenses have been ordered), we may offer a one-time discounted lens remake as a goodwill gesture.
This discount is based on our current lab costs and is not guaranteed — it is offered at our discretion.
Non-Prescription Returns
Non-prescription sunglasses, frames (without lenses), readers, and accessories can be returned within 30 days if unworn, undamaged, and in original packaging.
Insurance Payments
In the rare event a return, warranty replacement, or claim reversal is approved:

If insurance was billed directly, return authorization from the insurance provider is required before any adjustment can be made.

If the insurance payment was sent to the plan member, it is the plan member’s responsibility to repay the insurance provider.

Any out-of-pocket expenses paid by the client will be reimbursed only once the insurance claim has been verified as reversed and the provider has confirmed repayment.
