Warranty & Return Policy

At Simplifeye Optical, we want your eyewear to look amazing, feel comfortable, and help you see your best — every single day. That’s why we partner with trusted suppliers, take precise measurements, and custom-craft your lenses for your exact prescription and chosen frame.

Below is how we protect your purchase and set clear expectations so everyone feels confident moving forward.

Frame Warranty

Frames include a 1- or 2-year manufacturer warranty (depending on the brand) against defects in materials or workmanship.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or breakage due to impact or stress.

We handle all warranty claims directly on your behalf whenever possible.

Lens Warranty

Premium scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings are covered for 1 or 2 years (depending on supplier) against coating defects.

“Scratch-resistant” means more durable — not scratch-proof. Accidental scratches, handling damage, and normal wear and tear are not considered manufacturing defects.

60-Day Non-Adapt Guarantee

If you experience difficulty adapting to your lenses or have a prescription change within 60 days:

  • We will remake your lenses in an alternate design or updated prescription at no cost.

  • If your prior lens design is unknown and you choose to proceed without verification, adaptation issues may occur. We will still honor the initial remake; however, additional changes beyond that may involve added costs.

  • Refunds are not available for prescription lenses. In certain cases, store credit may be applied toward another eyewear option.

Changes After Purchase — Frame Reselection

Lenses are custom-made for the exact frame selected.

  • Before lenses are ordered:
You may change your frame selection. Any price difference will be adjusted. Special-order frames are final sale.

  • After lenses are ordered:
We cannot guarantee a lens remake due to a frame change based on preference. We will contact the lab to confirm whether a remake is possible. If not, new lenses may be purchased at a courtesy discount of 25% off regular price.

Using Your Own Frame

We’re happy to fit lenses into your existing frame; however, older or previously worn frames carry a higher risk of breakage due to material fatigue.

If breakage occurs, it is not covered under warranty. Where possible, we’ll help you explore replacement options (additional costs apply).

Custom Repairs & Modifications

We offer specialized custom repairs and modifications to existing eyewear, including (but not limited to) drilling, rebuilding, part replacement, and bespoke adjustments.

Because this work is highly specialized and tailored to your specific frame, the following applies:

  • Inherent risk: Even with expert care and precautions, breakage or structural stress may occur due to age, design, or material limitations.

  • No warranty coverage: Outcomes of custom repairs or modifications are not covered under manufacturer warranties or standard retailer services.

  • No refunds or reimbursement: Custom repair and modification services are final once performed, regardless of outcome.

  • Replacement exclusions: Replacement options referenced elsewhere in this policy do not apply to custom repair or modification services.

  • Client acknowledgement: Clients must acknowledge and accept these terms prior to work being performed.

This ensures clear alignment before work begins and helps set realistic expectations for custom frame services.

Discounted Remake Option

For situations outside standard warranty coverage (such as frame changes after lenses have been ordered), we may offer a one-time discounted lens remake as a goodwill gesture.

This option is based on current lab costs and availability and is offered at our discretion.

Non-Prescription Returns

Non-prescription sunglasses, frames without lenses, readers, and accessories may be returned within 30 days if unworn, undamaged, and in original packaging.

Insurance Payments

In the rare event that a return, warranty replacement, or claim reversal is approved:

  • If insurance was billed directly, authorization from the provider is required before adjustments can be made.

  • If insurance payment was sent to the plan member, repayment to the provider is the plan member’s responsibility.

  • Any out-of-pocket costs paid by the client will be reimbursed only after the insurance provider confirms the claim has been reversed and repayment completed.

We’re On Your Side

Our goal is for you to feel confident in your eyewear and supported throughout the process. If something isn’t working, we’ll work with you to find the best possible solution within these guidelines — so you can enjoy great vision and great style, worry-free.
