Why Trade-In?

Did you know that a staggering 45% of global emissions come from the production and disposal of fashion items, including eyewear? It's time to make a difference! By participating in our Trade-In Program, you're not only decluttering your space but also contributing to a circular shopping culture that significantly reduces carbon footprints. Together, we can make a difference.

How It Works:

Participating in our Frame Trade-In Program is simple:

1. Schedule an Appointment: Book your appointment, either in-home or in-office.

2. Assessment: We will assess the condition of your frames and provide you with credit towards your next order.

3. Frame Restoration: Frames in good condition will be meticulously cleaned and refurbished for resale. Frames not suitable for resale will be donated to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center.

Accepted Brands and Conditions

We accept a wide range of brands, including but not limited to Ray-Ban, Oakley, Maui-Jim, and more. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. See below for our conditions for trade-in eligibility.

Frames must meet certain conditions to be eligible for trade-in. Please see below for our conditions for trade-in eligibility:

1. Like New: Frames and lenses appear new with minimal wear. Fewer than two scratches measuring less than 5mm each. Both nose pads must be present if supplied with the frame. Temple sleeves must be intact.

2. Good: Frames and lenses show moderate wear with three or fewer scratches less than 5mm in total. Both nose pads must be present if supplied with the frame. Temple sleeves must be intact.

3. Signs of Wear: Frames and lenses exhibit signs of wear with minor scratches less than 5mm in total. Both nose pads must be present if supplied with the frame. Mild discolouration and curvature of temples are acceptable.

Frames not meeting these criteria may not be eligible for trade-in.

Like New:             $30 to $50 eyeglass trade-in value

                             $40 to $70 sunglass trade-in value

Good:                   $20 eyeglass trade-in value

                             $30 sunglass trade-in value

Signs of Wear:     $10 eyeglass trade-in value

                             $20 sunglass trade-in value

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY OLD FRAMES?

Depending on their condition, your old frames will embark on a new journey. If they're in excellent shape, LIKE NEW, we'll meticulously clean and refurbish them, making them available in our exclusive Preloved Frames section. Frames not suitable for resale will be donated to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center, supporting their mission to provide eyeglasses to those in need worldwide.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Scheduling an appointment for our Frame Trade-In Program is quick and easy! Simply visit our website's appointment booking page here. From there, you select your preferred appointment location (in-home or in-office), preferred date, and time. Once submitted, you will receive a confirm your appointment details. A follow-up reminder notification will be emailed to you one day prior and one hour prior to your scheduled appointment. Once at your appointment, we will be able to assess your frame for it's trade-in value.

CAN I TRADE IN MULTIPLE FRAMES AT ONCE?

Absolutely! Our Frame Trade-In Program allows you to trade in up to a maximum of three frames per new purchase. Whether you have one frame or a few that you'd like to trade in, we're here to assist you every step of the way. Simply bring all your frames to your scheduled appointment, and we will assess their eligibility and provide you with credit towards your new order. Let's upgrade your eyewear collection together!

CAN I COMBINE MY TRADE-IN FRAME VALUE WITH OTHER PROMOTIONS?

Yes, absolutely! We understand the importance of maximizing value, which is why your trade-in frame value will not affect any current promotions or sales we have running. Whether we're offering discounts, promotions, or special sales events, you can rest assured that your trade-in value will be applied in addition to any other offers available at the time of your purchase.
